Incident Description
On 9/10/2019 at 2:45 PM the City of Lakeland was notified by a private boring company that they had broken a City of Lakeland forcemain at 8315 SR 33 North. Crews arrived on site and contained the spill and closed off the section of forcemain. The line was repaired at 4:15 PM on 9/10/2019 and returned to normal service. Approximately 300 gallons was released and recovered. The area was cleaned and limed. No waters of the state were impacted.
