Southeastern University made its 2019 debut in the NAIA Women’s Cross Country Coaches’ Top 25 when the first regular season ranking was released this morning.
The Fire went from unranked to 20th in the poll voted on by a panel of coaches representing each of the conferences.
In both of their first two races of the season, the Fire have had stellar showings with 1-5 splits of :55 in each race. SEU had its best showing in program history at the Mountain Dew Invitational, placing second among the non-Division I participants behind Tampa, which is receiving votes in the NCAA Division II poll.
The Fire are idle this week, and will next race on September 27th at Holloway Park in Lakeland.
