Graduate Jake Van Der Luit has been voted The Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season, and fourth in his career.
Van Der Luit came up big at home against No.23 Georgia Gwinnett, tallying a goal and assist in the winning effort. He then added two more goals in the Fire’s shutout win over Ave Maria. Van Der Luit remains the conference leader in goals (17), shots (72), and shots on goal (40).
The Fire take the field next on Wednesday, October 30th when they host Thomas University at 5 p.m.
