Polk State struggled on the road again today, losing 5-1 to ASA College today in Hialeah.
ASA took a 2-0 lead in the first half, scoring in the 19th minute and on a penalty kick in the 36th minute.
Starting goalkeeper Celeste Chile was injured just before the second goal, and Jenna Payton finished the game in the net for Polk State.
After ASA scored three more times in the second half, the Eagles made it 5-1 when Macy Earhart scored on a penalty kick in the 89th minute.
ASA took 16 shots while Polk State had eight. The Eagles made 11 goalkeeper saves, and ASA had four.
The Eagles (0-3) play their first home game Wednesday against Broward College (0-2) at 4 p.m. on the Polk State Lakeland campus.
