David Larson earned the Mid-South Sun Division Special Teams Player of the Week for his efforts in a 49-7 victory at St. Thomas on Saturday.
The junior connected on all seven of his extra points, and hit five of his eight kickoffs into the endzone. He also moved into first on the NAIA’s punting leaderboard, averaging 48 yards per punt on his three attempts, hitting a pair of 50-yarders and placed one inside the St. Thomas 20-yard line.
This season, Larson is averaging 46.2 yards per punt, which leads the NAIA, and has placed half of his attempts inside the opponent 20-yard line.
This is the eighth time in his three year career he has been named the Special Teams Player of the Week.
Southeastern will be back on the road Saturday to take on No. 19 Keiser.
