The Southeastern University football team checked in at 12th in today’s installment of the AFCA-NAIA Coaches’ Top 25 Poll.
This is the third consecutive time the Fire have been ranked 12th.
Southeastern is ranked for the ninth consecutive poll, and is in the midst of its best start in program at 5-0. The Fire also sit at 2-0 in Mid-South Conference Sun Division play.
The Fire are one of four Mid-South Conference teams ranked in this week’s poll, and are the third highest ranked among the group, which includes Saturday’s opponent in 18th ranked Keiser.
The same 11 teams are ranked ahead of the Fire, but the order changed slightly with Lindsey Wilson going from 10th to 9th, and Concordia (Mich.) dropping from 4th to 10th after a loss to Saint Francis (Ind.).
