The Florida Southern College women’s swimming team dropped a close 137-123 decision to visiting Rollins College on Friday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Mocs kept the meet close all day, but could never match the rival Tars.
- FSC placed 1-2 in the 200-breast, with freshman Emily Drabick winning, and classmate Annalise Eisold taking second.
- The Drabick-Eisold combination later took 1-2 in the 200-IM as well.
- Drabick was actually a triple winner, claiming the 100-breast (1:08.96), 200-breast (2:31.16), and the 200-IM (2:15.32).
- Senior Malin Wallen won the 200-free in 1:59.47.
- Senior Kyra Fraser won the 200-back in 2:10.18.
- Junior Kimmy Chang took first place in the 100-fly in just 58.94, then placed second in the 200-fly in 2:17.45.
UP NEXT
The regularly scheduled meet with Saint Leo for tomorrow, Oct. 19, has been postponed due to the alleged storm blowing through Central Florida. Now the next competition for the Mocs will be Fri., Oct. 25, when the University of Tampa comes to Lakeland.
