Lakeland Electric restored power to the nearly 10,000 customers affected by the tornado this weekend in less than 48 hours. The damage resulted in over 50 spans of wire down and more than 20 broken poles. Over 150 field personnel worked hard to restore power as quickly and safely as possible, including Lakeland Electric line workers, contractors and mutual aid crews from Orlando Utilities Commission, Kissimmee Utility Authority, Ocala Electric Utility, Gainesville Regional Utilities.
