2014 Jetta was traveling northbound on US-98, north of Lakeland Acres Road. 1986 Chevy was traveling
northbound on US-98 ahead of Jetta. 2012 Honda Civic was traveling southbound on US-98. Alexander Roberts failed to slow or stop for other slowing traffic resulting in a collision with the front of Jetta to the rear of Chevy.
Post-impact, Chevy was propelled into the southbound lane resulting in a head-on collision between Chevy and Civic. Jetta came to final rest along the roadway shoulder as Chevy and Civic came to final rest on the roadway. Rhonda Rodgers driver of the Civic from Clermont suffered fatal injuries following the crash which closed US-98 until 7:25 AM.
