Overnight on Wednesday in Lakeland: The smell of smoke in their Lake Morton home alarmed the charming couple, Jo Ann and Morton. They dialed 911 and went outside. Our first responders arrived en masse and handled the situation like the professionals they are.
A fire in the front outside wall of the couple’s lovely lakeside home was extinguished, and a classic house was saved. Our Fire, Emt, and Police were truly on the mark with their response to this drama and were quite kind and supportive to the couple.
Thank you, Lakeland Fire Dept., Lakeland Police Dept., and Polk County Fire Rescue. Ya’ll are Awesome!!
