For too long, the Polk County Commission has done the bidding of developers, leading to over-development and overuse of our water supply and hurting our neighborhoods and the natural beauty of Polk County’s environment.
The incumbent Bill Braswell has done significant environmental damage to Lake Hancock and the Peace River by allowing the development of BS Farm and Ranch and their unlined industrial wastewater plant in SW Lakeland.
Bob Doyel will restore accountability, ethics, and transparency to the Polk County Commission, Preserve our environment, open spaces, and water resources, and break the grip of big developers on Polk County.

Are you kidding me, this guy is a goofball. I watched a zoom interview he did and he wasn’t coherent. Just because he is a democrat is no reason for you to endorse him. On top of all of that my cursory research indicates he is an anti second amendment, pro abortion on demand atheist. Your paper is going nowhere in this county with recommendations like this.
I would hardly call a former judge, who has a Ph.D. in Law, a goof ball. Judge Doyel has worked hard for Polk Countians and wants to continue doing so. He is “for the people”.
