A federally run COVID-19 vaccination site will open up at 9 a.m. Thursday in west Lakeland.
FEMA will host a drive-thru satellite vaccination site at Walker Road Park, 1035 Walker Road, from Thursday through March 17, according to FEMA spokeswoman Hallie Anderson. No appointment is necessary.
The location will be open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will receive 500 shots per day, according to Anderson, to be given to qualified individuals on a first-come, first-served basis.
