The Florida Department of Health in Polk County, in partnership with us here at the facility, hosted a mega COVID-19 vaccine point of dispensing (POD) site on Wednesday, March 10th. DOH-Polk County provided over 3,300 COVID-19 vaccines to individuals on Polk County’s COVID-19 vaccine waitlist who are included under the Governor’s current executive order.
“We are very pleased with how today’s mega vaccine distribution went,” says Dr. Joy Jackson, director of the Florida Department of Health in Polk County. “A Huge thanks goes to our partners at RP Funding Center for helping us plan and coordinate today’s event. Our collaboration allowed us to coordinate this large event quickly and provide over 3,300 vaccines to residents. This has been our largest event to date.”
