The Federal Aviation Administration Southern Region Airports Division announced during their 2021 Virtual Workshop today that LAL was awarded the 2020 General Aviation Airport Safety Award for our Runway Rehabilitation and SA CAT II ILS Project!
The FAA Southern Region Airports Division Safety Awards program allows the division to recognize general aviation airports that have taken actions, instituted programs, or otherwise operated in such a manner deserving of special recognition for improving airport safety.
Congratulations to the entire airport team including our project consultants and contractors as well as our partners the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) without whom these projects wouldn’t have come to fruition!
