Today, #LFD had the honor to meet Miss Adeline Hine. Adeline was joined by her Mom (Molly), brother (Colton), and Grandma. She brought energy and joy to Station 1! Her favorite is most definitely the boat.
Adeline’s Story: In December 2020, Adeline was picked up from her preschool with an upset stomach, when we noticed a lump under her rib area and took her to the pediatrician.
Three doctors, an x-ray, CAT scan, and an ultrasound later we were told she had a Wilms Tumor (kidney cancer). After 13+ chemotherapy treatments at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, and extraction of her affected kidney at Nemours she finally received a clear CAT scan result as of June 1, 2021!
She will continue routine scans for the next 5 years, as she continues to show her strength.
