You have surely heard the old saying, “Where there is smoke, there’s fire.”Sunday morning, shortly after sunrise, a deputy in Frostproof spotted thick black smoke in the area of Fort Meade Road, so he hurried to investigate.
He tracked the source of the smoke down to fire just outside of a residence.
The deputy noticed that there were several household items burning dangerously close to the home…about five feet away from the structure. The county burn ban is no longer in effect, but setting fires so close to your house is never recommended. Polk Fire Rescue showed up and put out the fire.
During the course of the investigation, it was learned that one of the residents of the home was a lady name, Michelle. A Fun-Fact about Michelle…she had a warrant for her arrest out of Volusia County…a 2017 warrant for Grand Theft. Ohhh…that burns.
Michelle was arrested and taken to Grady Judd’s B&B. However, it will be a short stay for her until she’s sent off on an all-expense-paid trip for one to The Land of DeLand with not-so-deluxe accommodations.
