Incident Description
A release of phosphoric acid occurred as a result of an equipment failure. Some of the phosphoric acid that was released went to soil along nearby railroad tracks. The quantity is unknown at this time, but is likely above the RQ of 780 gallons. None of the released material left the property boundary of the facility. Mosaic is working to mitigate impacts via soil neutralization or removal.
