Did Sheriff Judd Grady lie to the media about the officer involved shooting?

“These are career criminals. They have a history of committing violent felonies and both have outstanding warrants. After being caught in the act of committing an armed burglary, they made the decision to flee, evade arrest, and then tried to run over our deputies. Our deputies were forced to protect themselves from these dangerous suspects.” – Grady Judd, Sheriff 

New video from that night has come to light the video shows an officer running towards the car the PCSO open fired before the car “spun around pointing at deputies”

It shows the exit blocked (that Grady said was not) it shows the officer running towards the car before opening fire (Grady says they were in the clear)…

You hear at least 7 shots BEFORE you even see his car turn (Which Grady said they open fired AFTER they spun the car). The car headlights were on (Which Grady said was off)

And the map shows it’s not a 1way in 1way out like Grady said either… And again he states the exits were clear for them to be able to safely reengage the chase if need be they were all blocked.. you can also clearly see that he did in fact hit the stop stick as well which Grady said he did not.

PCSO did nothing with witness statements and treated them with hostility as well as threatening to shoot their dog…

Also according witness statements the driver DID NOT receive any medical attention until EMT’s got there… He was set in the dirt while the cops talked about aiming for his head and basically parting each other on the backs.

At the beginning of the audio, a deputy is talking about his truck being across the ridge and that they would have to go across the railroad tracks to get by.

It looks like there is a chain link fence they would have to go through to go across the railroad track. And then when they were talking on the scanner about getting EMS and other police in, at 2:38 on that tape, the deputy who owned the truck told them someone would have to move his truck as it was blocking the roadway.

When we heard the Sheriff Deputy question why they didn’t just drive away down 60, since I had been listening to the scanner when the shooting occurred, we are questioning why the Sheriff even asked that question, because the answer was right on the scanner feed, and it seemed pretty clear to me that they had blocked the driver from leaving.

We would think Sheriff Judd would have listened to that before he spoke with the press.

As the Sheriff said when speaking to the press, there was one way in and one way out.

And the scanner said they blocked that one way out. Whether the driver did, in fact, accelerate directly at the Lt., which is now in question, could have been better proved by body cams, which is a shame in a case like this that they don’t wear them, or have dash cams, so it would be more transparent what actually occurred.

He’s assigned to Southwest District patrol. Deputy Sheriff Harrison is 27 years old and has been with PCSO for two years. He’s assigned to the Mulberry Sheriff’s Station. 

Questions need to be answered ….. What is the truth?
