Florida has fired football coach Dan Mullen, Athletics Director Scott Stricklin announced Sunday on the school’s website.
Greg Knox will fill in as interim coach, Stricklin wrote. The Gators (5-6) will close out the regular season against rival Florida State (5-6) with a bowl berth on the line at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
