NOAA Aircraft Operations Center Commanding Officer CDR Chris Sloan and longtime Flight Director Mr. Jack Parrish retiring

This week NOAA Aircraft Operations Center Commanding Officer CDR Chris Sloan and longtime Flight Director Mr. Jack Parrish (retiring after 42 hurricane seasons) took their last flight in a WP-3D Orion.

Upon their return, our partners at the Lakeland Fire Department welcomed them back with a traditional water cannon salute. We wish Mr. Parrish all the best in retirement and fair winds and following seas to CDR Sloan as he moves on to his next assignment with NOAA.
