The NBA G League today announced that its regular season, originally scheduled to tip off on Dec. 27, will begin on Jan. 5, 2022. The delay will give teams an opportunity to safely return players to market after the Christmas holiday and to replenish their rosters following NBA Call-Ups.
Information regarding games originally scheduled between Dec. 27 and Jan. 4 will be provided at a later date.

The NBA has announced that NBA G League season play will not resume until January 5th, 2022 to give teams an opportunity to safely return players to market after the Christmas holiday as well as replenish team rosters following recent NBA Call-Ups.
This league decision currently affects home games originally scheduled for December 28, December 30, and January 4. I wanted to let each of you know that we are working diligently with the NBA G League and RP Funding Center to reschedule these three games for a later date. In the meantime, please know that the Lakeland Magic Ticketing team will be reaching out to season ticket members starting Monday December 27th, about the options available to you for your ticket use.
- Option 1:
- The Lakeland Magic are working with the necessary parties to reschedule the above games for a later date in the season. Season ticket members can keep their tickets for the designated games above for that time the rescheduled dates are announced. *If games for any reason (scheduling conflicts, etc.) cannot be rescheduled during the 2021-22 season, those STM will be notified of additional options.
- Option 2:
- Season ticket members can elect to apply their seats from the three games above to their season ticket bank to be used as additional seats of equal value for other Lakeland Magic home games in the 2021-22 season. (ex. Two (2) seats from game on 12/30 can be applied as two additional seats of equal value for game on 1/8).
