Sen. Kelli Stargel, R-Lakeland has introduced a bill to force women to endure nine months of pregnancy and risk their lives to give birth to their rapist’s child, if they don’t figure out within 15 weeks that they’re pregnant.
For good measure, she would force a child raped and impregnated by her father to endure nine months of pregnancy — presumably as punishment for something — to risk her life to give birth to a child of incest.
Gov. Ron DeSantis calls it “reasonable” and will sign it.
I do not believe the government — with raw force backed by guns — should force women and girls to risk death to deliver the offspring of rapists and incest fathers. I am unreasonable like that.
If you see Kelli Stargel around town, I would encourage you to tell her if you agree that your daughter or wife should be forced by the guns of government to completely disrupt their lives for nine months in a challenging — sometimes debilitating —physical condition that can kill them for the sake of a rapist or incest father’s crimes.
I am pretty certain this story was written with a bias and not entirely true at all.
