A Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputy, who is also a sworn member of the ATF task force, was involved in a shooting that occurred within The City of Lakeland. This, after deputies were conducting surveillance on a wanted subject.
Multiple agencies, local and federal, are also involved.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) will investigate the shooting in accordance with HCSO’s policy.
