My apologies for taking two days to respond to your email from Wednesday. Please know that we valued your volunteer service at the Chamber and on our Board.
To address the concerns you stated in your letter, the process that was followed by the Selection Committee was comprehensive and thorough. After a meticulous review of over 90 applicants, the most qualified candidates were interviewed for the position of President & CEO. The committee ensured a confidential process out of respect for any applicant that was interested in the position and the integrity of that process remains.
We are sorry that you feel that you are not able to continue in your role as a volunteer and Board member despite not being selected for this position.

The Lakeland Gazette is calling for the immediate resignation of Stacey Heacock Weeks. The integrity of this process has be comprised. And by turning this hiring process into a three ring circus. The future of the chamber which could have been a bright shining star has been tarnish now thanks to Weeks lack of leadership.
Stand outside her home and protest! Stand in the street or sidewalk where it is legal. Let your voices be heard! Step out from the darkness and fight the good Ole boys club head on!
