Activities at the Medulla Community Center are ramping up in 2022 with the addition of Neighborhood Storytime to promote family literacy among families with preschool-aged children.
A new story is selected each month by an engaged costumed character. Hands-on activities will follow the readings, along with snacks that celebrate the theme of each children’s book.
The story time is held from 10 a.m. to noon each month at the Medulla Community Center, 1049 Parker Road in Lakeland.

March 17 – “Yasmin the Soccer Star,” by Saadia Faruqi
April 21 – “One Red Sock,” by Jennifer Sattler
May 19 – “Pokko and the Drum,” by Matthew Forsythe
