This is the rural area that was carved out for the Lk. Miriam Square in the early 70s. It was named so because it is on THE LAKE MIRIAM.
My subdivision, One Highlands Place backs up to the lake and the surrounding wetlands. This area was previously mined for phosphate and there were orange groves on Cleveland Hghts. Blvd.
We are talking RURAL and SUBURBAN. A high-density COMPACT apartment complex with 244 units IS NOT compatible with the surrounding houses on acres and single-family homes.
Tell Lakeland City commissioners to VOTE to DENY on the zoning change that would allow such incompatibility on Lk Miriam Drive. March 21 City Hall 3rd floor 9 am.
