Stop with the propaganda films and tell the truth about the also called “Road Diet” Mayor Mutz and Commissioners.
The city has put out four propaganda films (note Lakeland Gazette copied the videos and placed them on our YouTube channel in case the City of Lakeland decided to remove them)

For the last 2ish years the pick up lines for born and bread were in the back alley and it was so much better! They don’t need to use the front entrance at all. Plus in the back, there is so much more space and they can put tables out back for more seating. Kaylynn Brandt
Sorry, but 5:41am is NOT rush hour. And Born and Bread did have their pick up out back which was wonderful and worked great! This road diet is just NOT working! More people avoid the area all together. I do make my pick up order from B&B but that I enter in the back to pick up it up. Otherwise, I am not in that area. Heather Schmidt Taylor
We get it! The ten business in that area love it and the thousands of taxpayers that use the road hate it. Vote them out if they don’t listen to the ones that are paying their salary. Spend our tax dollars on something we all need! Ward Schwabland
A building entrance in the back near where the parking is? What a novel idea. Put the 4 lanes back. Widen them by getting rid of the center turn lane. Fix the dilapidated sidewalks that the city has allowed to fall into disrepair. Then take all your fancy Orlando-like enhancements that no one asked for and shove… I mean develop them in a nice landscaped back alley. David Woolsey

City Commissioners should be ashamed, but I’m not sure they have any empathy for anyone. Please remember their ongoing failures at election time. We need better! Margie Brownlee
Because they’re pulling out all the stops to sell the road diet. This is a sales pitch. Isn’t it against city code to advertise signage on the side of the road? The person there was more of a hazard to the wheelchair than the sidewalk. Where was she going; was that a paid ad? Every Lakelander has learned to avoid that stretch! We drive down neighborhood streets now… Many of which are without sidewalks. Shameless pandering. Kim Daniels
Our sidewalks are ridiculous! All over. Unless you have someone with a cane, walker or wheelchair you have no idea how bad they are. It’s time to stop the overgrowth and start fixing and repairing what we have. Renee’ Goff
My office is just south of the beginning of this horrible experiment. I see aggressive drivers, horns, road rage and many close calls. This was an awful idea. Jim Headley
Even though my office is on South Missouri Avenue, this road diet has seriously effected my ability to carry out business. South Florida Avenue is constantly backed up and that results in side road congestion. Tony Dodds
Born and Bread had their bakery open on Wed…..I couldn’t stop because of the concrete blobs!!!! I had no where to stop and park and go in!!!! The road diet SUCKS!!!! How do businesses stay open? They would have more foot traffic if there was on street parking!!!
