1. A Christian school opens themselves to liability if they continue anyone in employment who lives or acts contrary to their Statement of Faith and/or Code of Conduct.

   1. So Kris, the fear of liability should then remove ALL religions that do not adhere to whatever some may want? Close down all religions then. Better check our ALL those religions that have doctrine and see if you will find some that are now considered sacrosanct to go along with this for themselves. Make THEM adhere to the cries of those that want all religions to bow to them.

      1. I don’t really understand your comment but let my try to help you. A church school is a private religious organization. As a private religious organization they have a statement of faith/belief that they adhere to. People who send their children to that school rely on that known fact and rely on the understanding that the school will operate according to their statement of faith. It becomes a contractual agreement. So when a Christian school operates contrary to its statement of faith/belief, it becomes an issue of violation of contract with the parent. No one attends a Christian school by mandate or force, they do so out of choice; they have chosen that Statement of Faith/Belief.
         If a person does not wish to adhere to the Statement of Faith/Belief they are free to find another private school or attend a government school.
         Your hyperbolic comment may be a result of not understanding the nature of the agreement. So I hope you now understand.

5. I accept the Mayor being fired for his worldly belief. While there is brotherly love of all people, it doesn’t mean publicly supporting sin according to the Word of God. No loss.

If you make your personal stance known, and you are an elected official, then you should be totally aware that many will view your message as the message for the entire community that you supposedly represent. Many issues can be private and should be viewed as ‘no ones business” but as someone that was voted in there are NO “private” views that are NOT the business of those that cast the ballot. As a business owner in Lakeland I have NO voice. As I do not live in the property that is taxed and controlled I MUST adhere to ALL that the elected officials want. Sounds like taxation without representation to many. Not to be able to vote for the local officials but are still required to pay for anything they want seems wrong… Now at least I know there are many that are making their stance known regarding the so called “personal” matters that effect our city.l

    1. The same message thus religious school and church preaches. In NYC they want.sexual positions taught..If this is your want I am sure you can find some where to teach your preference.

    2. This is a Christian school, perhaps you didn’t understand that. The understanding is that Christianity is taught and a scripturally sound life-style is expected, especially of the leadership. Perhaps those with a different opinion than the Christian faith should expect to attend a school that teaches according to their own faith and not expect the Christian school to change their principles to suit the student?

11. Bill has been a board member of LCS for nearly two decades. As an alumni this is both deeply disappointing and unfortunate. LCS seems to be stuck in the 1950s and their homophobic stance on sexuality is no longer welcome.

    1. Gee Ryan.. Stuck in the 50s? This is religion not fad. Stuck for 2000 years as followers of Jesus. Stuck in Hebrew doctrine for >5k. Stuck? If you wish to bow to the offended du jour NYC, California, and countries taken over by marxism removing all religions would be a place to reside. Homophobic? Suddenly it is the challenge through the media for your children to decide they want to change their gender. Just like all the other fads this too shall pass but if you applaud the castration and mutilation of children wanting to “join the new thing” then you will be considered abettors when they reach majority and realize they were duped and, by law, can now sue those that should have protected them as children.

The same creepers have been infiltrating our schools with homosexualilty an anti God movement for a long time and it is time to call out these thieves that are robbing our society and souls of too many children.

13. I COMMEND LCS for standing up for biblical principles of which this school is founded upon. It’s a shame that LCS is the few rather than the majority for fighting back against this Godless immoral culture that is destroying our children amd the world worse than any cancer. LCS my company will make a donation to your school for being a light in this darkness. For showing Lakeland, Polk County and the world who is watching how real Christian schools rise above and represent Christ. Unlike other area Christian schools VCA etc. Who are more dedicated to the $$ than God’s word. We need more schools, churches and other community leaders to learn from LCS. Thank you LCS!

14. In the current active and on-going culture war, we’re watching common sense being attacked by ‘woke’ doctrine.

    To be a member in good standing with some groups, you now have to say men can get pregnant – which is an outright falsehood – and that there are many many genders besides male and female – another falsehood – and that men pretending to be women must be allowed to use women’s bathrooms, be housed in women’s prisons and compete in girls and women’s athletics.

    You have to, with your eyes wide open, say something that is false is true.

    Most people in America are not yet at the point where they can do this. They are not yet at the point where they can look in a mirror and say “A man can get pregnant and menstruate!” and sincerely believe it.

    Some people seem to think with a little more browbeating and yelling, they will be able to get people to go along with this ‘woke’ agenda.

    Personally, I don’t see that happening. I think the ‘woke’ agenda has gotten just about as far as it’s going to get, and now that parents have -pun intended!- woken up to what’s being taught in many of their schools, the woke agenda is going to be rolled back.

    How many people would have voted for Bill Mutz last year if he’d been open about the fact he had embraced the ‘woke’ LGBTQ+ agenda? He talks a good game about being a Christian, but if he’s a supporter of things like drag queen story hour for the kids at the local library, or for men competing as women in girl’s sports, why are people only discovering this now?

    It’s a legitimate question, since as mayor he does have a degree of influence on the city’s schools.

    IF the Christian world can see the wrong in the ( LGBT issue well you can see everything else wrong in this world…. So check yourself.

    1. Please understand scripture better before you quote it. Scripture teaches Christians to not be unequally yoked in our faith. Scripture teaches that Christians are to use discernment to judge people on whether they are of the faith or not. Scripture teaches that Christians are to judge people by their fruits. So the way uneducated people use that one scripture, judge not lest ye be judged, is completely out of context. This is not about judging other people’s sins as a measure of your own (that’s the warning of that scripture), this is about maintaining the integrity of the faith and the true instruction of that faith by those in a position of leadership who must, and by the way signed an agreement to, live by that specific faith. I hope that helps you better understand so you are not using the wrong criteria when you judge Christians.

    mocked, moreover God can’t be lied to without eventual exposure and a reaping of what was sown. Mutz is an open book for all to see. Soon, the dominoes will fall, all of them, the dominoes of corruption, filth & lies. When the dominoes fall, we WILL take America back, back to the God of the Bible, back to the original intent of our nation and back to the original US Constitution, we will take our schools back, our government back, Hollywood back, our lives back and our society.
