Despite what feels like a never-ending string of afternoon storms, Lakeland had the fifth-lowest recorded rainfall this summer — you can thank the Saharan dust from across the Atlantic Ocean.

For all of our stats people: Lakeland saw 14.82 inches of rain from June to August, compared to an average of 23.6 inches.
