Martha’s Vineyard Takes Revenge On DeSantis By Shipping Him 50 Karens

Outraged at having been sent 50 illegal immigrants from Florida by Ron DeSantis, Martha’s Vineyard has taken ultimate revenge on the governor by shipping 50 Karens to Florida.

“Perhaps now DeSantis will think twice before he sullies our pristine white island with brown migrant people,” said Martha’s Vineyard HOA President Karen VonSchnitzel. “Once the charter flight filled with our neighborhood’s most insufferable Karens touches down in Tallahassee, he will rue the day he made us look like heartless racists in front of the entire country. HAHAHAHAHA!”

The group of 50 Karens was selected from over 478 Karens who volunteered for the flight, as most women who live on the island are named Karen. “Hopefully this political stunt will help DeSATAN see the error of his ways,” said HOA Vice President Karen Bohannan. “If not, we’ll send even more. There are plenty more Karens where that came from!”

Once the Karens land in Florida, they have been instructed to wreak havoc on the locals by walking into establishments and demanding to see the manager, calling the police on black joggers, and driving slowly in the left lane. Locals have mobilized to prepare for the onslaught by building walls of sandbags and boarding up windows.

At publishing time, DeSantis confirmed the Karens had been apprehended by the Florida National Guard and were on their way to Gitmo.

      3. I believe the piece stated that it was satirical. The point is, Martha’s Vineyard is not necessarily the first place you think of when looking for employment and variety in career. It is a lovely place for many many reasons, but for someone just starting out and who is not self employed etc, the Vineyard’s opportunities, being an island with No Bridge, does have limitations.
        For example, leaving the island is a big deal: It is time consuming and expensive. It’s all good, but you do need a car — no busses. No box stores.

      1. It was in a satire column. The remark about ruining their pristine White Island with migrant grown people was a sarcastic remark. The people of Martha’s Vineyard actually came out in droves to help the migrants snd showed them way more care than the southern governors are demonstrating. They were given food, clothing, shelter, provided with interpreters and given legal aid as they had basically been lied to and duped by Desantis.

    3. This is not about race..it’s about states that have had to shoulder the burden financially for years, yet when only a portion are sent to Sanctuary States it is a “FEMA” emergency.

      2. They don’t hate immigrants. It’s just everyone seems to forget what the word “ILLEGAL” means. They came here illegally. There is a legal way to do things and an illegal way as well. If I illegally acquired a lot of money at the expense of other people, is that ok? Or should I do it the legal way and get a job and earn it, or apply for a grant or a loan or something? They are in our country ILLEGALLY. If we went into their country illegally, they would arrest us and probably do a lot worse. Even immigrants that came here legally, don’t want them here. It belittles all the hard word and progress they have made by doing it the right way. Also they are pretty much doing what I asked about earlier, it’s ok for them to illegally acquire a bunch of money at other peoples expense, but if I do it, then God forbid. They come here and the are given anything that they need, food, clothes, cash, daycare, healthcare, education, a place to live, older people get retirement, transportation vouchers, utility vouchers, and they don’t have to pay for any of it. It’s the tax payers that pay for it. So we work and pay taxes so a bunch of people that came here illegally can live comfortable lives, while we are living paycheck to paycheck, not able to cover our bills but still can’t qualify for government aid, hungry, or without power for a couple days while waiting to get paid, getting our vehicles repossessed because we had a choice between car payment and a roof over your kids heads. I work and pay taxes and struggle so that people that came here ILLEGALLY can be comfortable. Why can’t the people that are actually citizens be comfortable? Why do people that try to make it and follow the law have to suffer? Why do I have to help pay for other peoples education, when I can’t even afford to further my own? I want to better my future and get a better education so that I can provide for my family, but I’m too busy paying for everyone else’s. Why am I paying for ILLEGAL immigrants food so they can have a full belly, while my family is hungry because I can’t afford to have a full fridge. I feel like a failure because my kids ask me everytime I come home from the grocery store, “is that all you got?” And I say, “yes I’m sorry, it was all I was able to afford.” I hardly even eat because I want them to have more food. I keep applying for food stamps, but don’t qualify somehow. Every other month a different utility get shut off and I have to pull money magically out of my butt to be able to get it turned back on. I think the government is putting so much focus on the people that are here ILLEGALLY, that they have forgotten about the citizens that out them in office and gave them the power they holds in the first place. I feel like my government has abandoned me and left me to fail. That’s why this whole immigration thing is a big deal. It’s not that I hate immigrants, but there is a respectful, LEGAL way of becoming a citizen of this country. Maybe you are not affected by all the ILLEGAL immigrants , I think it’s been steadily 200,000 a month since February of 2021, but many people are affected and you should think about that instead of being quick to label someone as racist or whatever.
