This morning the College’s Emergency Management Team met to discuss the status of Hurricane Ian. Based on the latest information available, we recommend students try to return home, if possible.
For your safety, students that live in college-owned houses need to plan to move into Branscomb auditorium at 5 pm on Tuesday, September 27, and will remain there until the hurricane has passed and the campus is determined to be safe. Food service will be provided, but options will be limited.
In addition, based on weather conditions, students living in any college housing (meaning residence halls and college apartments) may be required to relocate to a shelter on campus. They will remain there until the hurricane has passed and the campus is determined to be safe. Food service will be provided, but options on campus will be limited.
As a reminder, the College has canceled all classes between Monday, September 26, and Friday, September 30, allowing students time to travel home if they choose to do so. Students engaged in experiential learning activities, including internships, nursing clinical, and classroom clinical experiences, are also canceled.
