The City of Lakeland is now in restoration mode from Hurricane Ian. City facilities will remain closed on Friday, September 30th for non-essential employees. The EOC is now closed, and all restoration efforts will now be manned by each respective Department.
Lakeland Electric is in full-restoration mode and at this point in time, there are 45,000 customers without power. That number is down almost 20,000 from this morning’s figure totaling 63,000.

Friday, Sept 30 will operate in the Thursday Route Areas
- Residential Automated Garbage Collection Only
- Rear Loaders Collecting bags and containerized debris only
- Commercial Front Loaders will run Thursdays Routes
- Roll-off will run normal schedule or assist with debris collection as needed
Saturday, Oct 1 will operate in the Friday Route Areas
- Residential Automated Garbage Collection Only
- Rear Loaders Collecting bags and containerized debris only
- Commercial Front Loaders will run Friday Routes
- Roll-off will run normal schedule or assist with debris collection as a needed
Sunday, Oct 2
- Claw and Roll-off trucks only to continue debris collection if needed
Monday, Oct 3
- All residential services return to normal operations
- All commercial services return to normal operations
- Claw trucks remain on debris collection street by street.
