Meet Splotch -

Our rescue has taken in nearly 100 kittens this year but no pregnant cats–until now that is. Meet Splotch…a super friendly white and black young cat with an adorable ink splotch on her nose…hence the name. This poor momma was found by a woman in a neighbor’s golf cart riding out the storm. When she rescued her, she realized she was fully pregnant and kept her comfortable until she could find a rescue to take her. When we picked up Splotch, she seemed to be about six weeks pregnant as she wasn’t very big and her milk hadn’t come in yet. Well, we were a little off the mark and very surprised when she had three babies yesterday. We were expecting her to carry the kittens for at least another week but apparently, she’s just a petite girl and didn’t get too large. Mom and babies are doing very well and Splotch has plenty of milk to go around. All three babies look like her and one has a splotch on top of its nose just like mom. .
