2022 Veterans Day Ceremony where the newest monument was officially unveiled at Veterans Park. The monument is dedicated to soldiers who were temporarily stationed in Lakeland in 1898 as they awaited deployment for the Spanish-American War in Cuba. Included in those soldiers were the heralded Buffalo Soldiers, who are highlighted on the monument.
