A manufacturing business in Lakeland is planning a $36 million expansion and is asking for a $400,000 grant through the City’s Economic Development Infrastructure Incentive Program.
Keymark Corporation of Florida plans to add a new 76,326-square-foot building at 3155 Drane Field Road to accommodate an additional line of equipment.
Keymark officials say by email that the company is creating at least 25 new jobs at both Lakeland facilities, which will pay at least 100% of Polk County’s average annual wage of $46,763 or $22.48 an hour.
Keymark officials say the money will be used to assist with the relocation of electric lines and wastewater extensions.
