The City of Lakeland offers a free, interactive public program that allows citizens to learn more about the services and functions of City departments. The Citizens Academy program consists of seven evening sessions; each session lasts approximately two hours. The program is limited to 30 Lakeland residents, and participants must be at least 16 years old. Enrollment in the class is based on a first-come, first-served basis.
