On January 29th, 2023, Deputy Tyler Crane conducted a traffic stop on Paris Rd in Mayfield Kentucky.
The operator of the vehicle was identified as Marlon Richards age 47, of Lakeland Florida. After obtaining Richards’ information, it was determined that he was wanted on a Felony Warrant out of Missouri.
After detaining Richards, a loaded 9mm handgun was located tucked into his left armpit in an attempt to conceal it from deputies. Richards is a convicted Felon and is prohibited by law from possessing any type of firearm. During the search of his person, Deputies also located a small baggie containing Methamphetamine in the right front pocket of Richards’ jeans.
A search of the vehicle being driven by Richards was conducted, which produced several items of drug paraphernalia and a quantity of Methamphetamine.
Deputy Crane was assisted by Sergeant Richard Edwards and Deputy Larry Jones.
Richards was arrested for the offenses and transported to the Graves County RC Center.
