It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Davenport Fire Department’s Ambassador Spot. Spot, unfortunately, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023. Spot joined our Fire Department team in 2014 at the age of 2. Our beloved Spot was a Dalmatian who spent his entire life spreading joy and happiness wherever he went. Spot was well-known throughout the community and was loved.
Spot’s role as our Fire Department’s Ambassador was to visit schools, spread awareness about fire and safety prevention, attend special events, and bring comfort and companionship to our first responders.
The loss of Spot is felt deeply by everyone at the fire station. We are saddened that we lost a friend, partner, and an essential member of our team and community. Spot’s memory will forever live in the hearts of the Davenport Fire Department. Therefore, in recognition of Spot, the Davenport Fire Department will host a celebration of life for our hero Spot, which will be opened to the public this Friday, May 5, 2023, from 4 pm-6 pm at Fire Station 1 located at 112 Palmetto St. W, Davenport, FL 33837 for our hero Spot.
