Mom was brought to us quite pregnant after being found in the woods at Saddle Creek Park a couple of months ago. Unfortunately, this area is a huge dumping ground for cats and, sadly, many have made their homes in those woods due to irresponsible pet owners.
Miss Scarlett is a young mom (probably 8 months) and had her babies in one of our foster homes. She became more skittish after the little ones were born as she’s quite protective of them. Her foster mom is scheduled for surgery soon so we took on Miss Scarlett and the GWTW kittens. They’re about six weeks old and they’re not happy about being relocated. Several are hissing, smacking, and spitting at us (mom taught them well ). Luckily, they’re young and with patience, treats, gloves, and a backscratcher, we’ll be able to calm down soon.
