The Bartow, Florida Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) is set to hold its Agenda Review and Work Session on September 29, 2023. The meeting will be at 9:00 a.m. in the Board Conference Room in the County Administration Building.
Commissioner George Lindsey will chair the session. The agenda includes reviewing upcoming board meeting agendas, such as the Board Meeting on October 3, 2023, and the Transportation Planning Organization Meeting on October 12, 2023. Para Agrawal will oversee the latter.
The County Manager and the County Attorney will lead the work session briefing. They will cover topics like the 2024 State Legislative Policy and Appropriations Review. Deputy County Manager Ryan Taylor will present this. The briefing will also discuss a draft ordinance to ban smoking and vaping in public parks, with County Attorney Randy Mink leading the discussion.
Other topics include the Engineering Services Master Consulting List, which Utilities Director Tamara Richardson P.E. will present. The session will end with an adjournment. The BoCC work session is a key forum for discussing and planning county matters.
