If you noticed PCSO activity on Wednesday night, October 4th, in the area of US 98 North and Marcum Road in Lakeland, here’s what happened…
At around 10:15 pm, PCSO deputies responded to the intersection in reference to a crash–a white sedan became disabled and abandoned in the median.
The suspect fled the area on foot.
Deputies set up a perimeter and began searching for the suspect.
During the search, deputies noticed a man behaving suspiciously, so they made contact with him. He identified himself as 36-year old Shaun O’Neal of Lakeland and he told deputies that the crashed car belonged to him and it had just been stolen.
Meanwhile, other deputies at the scene found the driver of the crashed car: 20-year old Christine Sheldon of Lakeland. She was found in the backyard of the residence that belongs to…wait for it…Shaun! Yes, that Shaun…the owner of the car. What a coincidence!
Eventually, Christine admitted to driving Shaun’s car to go get Little Ceasar’s pizza. In fact, when she fled from the crash scene, she left the pizza behind in the car. And guess who gave her the keys to the car and money for pizza—that’s right—Shaun.
Shaun and Christine were both arrested and taken to the Polk Pokey.
