While Lakeland police officers don’t normally perform marine duties, they came to the rescue of three boys who got stuck on the Florida Southern College water ski ramp after their small boat drifted away on Oct. 14.
Lakeland police college resource officers promptly jumped into kayaks and brought the boys safely back to shore to the waiting arms of a grateful mom.
