This week’s recipe: The Boneyard Tonic, is a spooky variation of the classic Gin & Tonic. So put your noble bones to rest and come along as we wonder into the gloomy vault of The Twisted Witch:
Where mortal footsteps fear to go.
The breath of night like death will flow.
All around the shadows gather,
Resting bones there left to whither.
As evening sheds her departing ray,
Shadows fall on dust and decay.
He cast his coin unto the well,
The Buried Man’s forbidden spell
Ingredients:
1.5 oz Gin
1/4 oz Simple Syrup
1/2 oz Lemon Juice
1/4 oz Grenadine
3-6 Dashes of Bitters (I prefer orange Bitters)
2 oz Tonic
In your cauldron add Gin, Simple Syrup & Lemon Juice. Give it a visceral shake. Add tonic then strain mixture into a glass of ice. In a separate cauldron combine Grenadine & Bitters and drizzle on top of the potion to give it that bloody affect. Enjoy with caution. Lest you be next for the wretched shroud.
