Vehicle 1, a Toyota Tacoma, was traveling westbound on SR-674. Vehicle 2, Chevy Silverado, was traveling eastbound on SR-674. Vehicle 3, a Chevy S-10, was traveling eastbound behind Vehicle 2. Just east of Balm Wimauma Road, for unknown reason, Vehicle 1 entered the eastbound lanes and collided head-on with Vehicle 2. Vehicle 3, in an attempt to avoid a collision steered left, rotated and entered a ditch after debris from the first impact struck the pickup.
This crash involves five fatalities. Both directions of SR-674 are closed at this time. Motorists should seek alternate travel routes. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
