I was officially endorsed by the Associated Builders and Contractors Gulf Coast Chapter for City Commission At Large for the City of Lakeland. ABC is a national association with 68 chapters representing 22,000 merit shop construction and construction-related firms with 2 million employees. ABC’s membership represents all specialties within the U.S. construction industry and is comprised primarily of firms that perform work in the industrial and commercial sectors of the industry. In Florida, ABC represents over 2,500 member companies. Founded in 1969, ABC’s Florida Gulf Coast Chapter is devoted to exclusively representing the interests of over 600 member companies from Gainesville to Naples to Lakeland.
This industry has been my life. The diversity of the people, projects, and locations have made each day unique with different challenges and solutions working with folks from every walk of life and ABC has been a major part of my success and the success of millions of others by providing guidance, education, and support from leadership, constructability, legal, and many other topics they consistently promote to make our industry safer, smarter, and more equitable for all of the blue-collar men and women in the construction industry.
This endorsement is very special to me, as it comes from my peers and an organization that is constantly leading the charge to make significant local, state, and national legislative changes to ensure we are all protected and represented in a manner that is fair, professional, and in the best interests of its members and the industry as a whole.
