The Office of the Polk County Tax Collector’s service centers and our Call Center will be closed this Friday in honor of Veterans Day. A release in detail is attached. Additionally, there are a number of benefits veterans can enjoy year-round at our offices. We are happy to share more about some of these:
• Military specialty license plates
• ‘V’ Designation on driver licenses and I.D. cards
• Discounts and/or exemptions for disabled and service-connected disabled veterans
• Certain property tax, hunting & fishing license, and county local business tax exemptions
