The Polk County Fire Rescue is currently working on a structure fire at 3810 Hwy 60 in Mulberry. The call came in at 7:44 pm. According to the initial call, it was an explosion and thus now a fire. It appears the building is an older dilapidated structure. At this time it doesn’t appear anyone was inside the structure.
We believe it may affect a lane of Hwy 60 Eastbound.
We will update if further information becomes available. PCFR had 7 units on scene and others are being told they may stand down. The battalion chief is asking for the fire marshal.
