Vehicle 1, a Lexus IS sedan, was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of I-75, south of SR-56. Near Milepost 272,
Vehicle 1 collided head-on with Vehicle 2, a Chevy Colorado, traveling northbound in the inside lane. Post-impact,
Vehicle 2 rotated into the median and caught fire while Vehicle 1 traveled into the center lane. Once in the center lane Vehicle 1 collided nearly head-on with Vehicle 3, a Hyundai Santa Fe, before coming to final rest. Drivers 1 and 2 suffered serious injury as a result of the crash while Driver 3 was uninjured. It is unknown where Driver 1 began traveling in the wrong direction and impairment is suspected.
