This is truly a wonderful time of year that brings the community together in celebration. It is a time for family, for giving, and for reflection. We get a chance to look back on our accomplishments and we start to initiate resolutions for the upcoming year. I am continually in awe of the compassion and generosity of the people in our community who make Lakeland a special place to live. Thank you for the honor and privilege in serving you and our community as City Manager.
City of Lakeland employees are excited and ready to work on the big ideas, major projects, and daily tasks that make Lakeland great! A few of our major projects in 2024 include the installation of a major wastewater line in the west Lakeland area, the introduction of commercial air service at Lakeland Linder International Airport, new energy sources for Lakeland Electric, and streamlined solid waste services with the construction of a waste transfer station. These are just a few very large projects that will be taking place all while we maintain a high degree of public safety and provide superior municipal services to the community. I know our city is poised for great things in the upcoming year.
