The Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) is currently investigating a cell phone theft that took place on January 13th at the Dollar General store located at 8201 US 98 North in Lakeland.
According to authorities, the victim inadvertently left his cell phone on the check-out counter while paying for his items around 6:15 pm. Instead of contacting the PCSO to return the phone, an unidentified individual decided to keep it for themselves.
In an effort to progress the investigation, a PCSO detective is seeking information about a man captured in a photograph related to this incident. The individual, described as a white male aged between 50 and 60 years old, is someone the detective wishes to speak with.
